At Southwest Georgia Bank, we have always placed the highest priority on maintaining the personal privacy of our customers’ information. Our most important asset is your trust, and you, our current and former customers, can count on responsible treatment of any information you provide us. We do not disclose non public personal information about customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

  • Transaction information such as payment history, and account balances.
Protecting the Confidentiality and Integrity of Information

Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information

We collect, retain and use individual non public personal customer information ONLY when we reasonably believe it would be useful, and allowable by law, to administer to our business needs in providing products and services to our customers. We do not reveal customer account or other personally identifiable information to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable credit reporting agencies, unless:

  • The information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you;
  • You request the disclosure; or
  • The disclosure is required or allowed by law.
Exceptions for Disclosure to Nonaffiliated Third Parties

Certain nonaffiliated third parties may provide us with services for processing, accounting, auditing or other administrative activities. We make disclosures to any such parties only as permitted by law. When we do provide customer information to a third party, it will not be for their independent use and we will insist that they adhere to privacy standards similar to those which we have adopted.
